Located right next to Poppy & Seed bu the packing House in Anaheim, this new spot its super cute. We made reservations for an early Saturday brunch which turned out great. We were there 10 minutes before they open which worked out for the best when it came down to finding parking. We got an amazing table and like I said the place it's super cute. Last time I was there it used to be the old Umami burger spot. The service was divine thanks to our server Denise who gave us a good sense of what to order right of the bat. I had the Mole chicken and waffles which was a really good spin of a Mexican chicken and waffles dish. My boyfriend had the chilaquiles verdes con pollo and avocate (green chicken and avocado chilaquiles) which he said the water really good. I had the michelada con Modelo Negra and he had the watermelon Mojito which originally its dry but he added the good stuff, ahem some vodka;)... The food it's to die for! The food was amazing (thanks to the kitchen) and the service was prestine tha KS to Denise for making our first time and celebrating our anniversary there.

Amazing food, service and drinks! I came for brunch and really enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the live mariachi that was entertaining the dining guests. I ordered the mole chicken and waffles and was so impressed. The mole was perfect and not overly rich or sweet. Also the chips and salsa to start were really good! But the star was the coconut guava margarita. I'll come again and again for that drink! I'd give this place a 10/10!

Coco Guava Margaritas, Beans and Prime Tasajo are my go-to items at En Familia. I had the Prime Tasajo taco and the brunch plate, and both were delicious. The skirt steak was tender, juicy and flavorful. I love their chips and their roasted salsa (need to request) with a side of beans. The beans are super good, then add a bit of lime juice over the chips... yummm But... my favorite cocktail right now is the Coco Guava Margarita. I could drink a lot of these lol If you like guava juice, you'll love this cocktail. It's fresh, refreshing and they make their own guava juice in-house. The bartenders and servers were helpful. I've been here with a large party of twenty-two, with a couple of people, and just myself, and each time the service was great. Food and drinks were consistent throughout. Thank you En Familia!

From the moment we walked in, the warm ambiance and upscale vibe set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. It's the perfect spot for a date night or a more formal dinner with family or friends--elegant but still welcoming. As for the food, everything on the menu was absolutely delicious. We especially loved that nearly everything is halal, with the exception of the Japanese A5 Wagyu (which is just three items on the entire menu). Cross-contamination isn't a concern since there's absolutely no pork on the menu, and no alcohol is used in any of their food items--a detail we deeply appreciated. The complimentary house chips and salsa were the perfect start, fresh and flavorful. The appetizers are generous enough to double as entrees, so keep that in mind when ordering. The sides are served family-style, making them great for sharing, which we loved. We had: -Complimentary Chips & Salsa (don't underestimate this, they're pretty good) -Queso Horneado -Barbacoa Potato Tacos -Al Pastor Grilled Salmon -Huachinango Zarandeado -Chimichurri Rice -Twice Baked Cheesy Potatoes -Mushroom Medley Al Mojo De Ojo (good but not memorable) -Kids Chicken Quesadilla & Fries (fries were good, quesadilla was mediocre) The service was truly outstanding. Not only was our waiter friendly, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, but the entire wait staff worked together seamlessly. They constantly checked in to see if we needed anything and were quick to clear away dishes, which kept our table tidy and our experience smooth. We'll definitely be back to try their brunch--it's already on our list! If you're looking for a halal-friendly, elevated dining experience with great food and exceptional service, En Familia is a must-visit.

Awesome brunch spot with legit mariachi and great food. Usually it's one or the other but this place checks off all the boxes for me. Ambience, not too much but very clean decor and Instagram worthy spots. Menu is limited for brunch with about 14 options including chilaquiles, breakfast burgers steak and eggs plus some sweeter options. Drinks are small and pricey, I had the French lavender 75 - very well made. Waiters were friendly and all worked to make sure we had refills and taken care of. My one suggestion is to work on getting food it together for the entire party. We had to wait about 20 mins for 3/6 people in between so tha made food cold.

My family and I made a trip to the Anaheim Packing House on a Sunday afternoon; I loved the decor as soon as we walked in. There's Mariachi on Sundays; call the restaurant to verify the hours on the day you plan to visit. Parking can be challenging, but we were fortunate to find parking immediately. We started with two appetizers: esquites a la parrilla and chicken mole tetela. This was our first time trying tetela, which is a triangular-shaped corn masa pocket (similar to empanadas or quesadillas). OMG! So delicious! It's filled with chicken and covered in mole. I highly recommend this! The Esquites were also great. I had the al pastor bone-in short rib; it was a big plate, plenty to share, in my opinion. I had to take most of it home because there was no way I could finish it in one sitting. It also comes with rice and beans. My boyfriend ordered the filet mignon and a small side of beans. Our kids had a cheeseburger and quesadilla with fries. I also had the "Tropicali" cocktail, which was tasty and had an incredible presentation. Service was lacking at times, but it was a busy Sunday afternoon.

En Familia is located next to the Packing House and offers high end Mexican cuisine in a modern setting. All the meats and food preparations are HALAL here with the exception of the A5 wagyu steaks. Complimentary chips and salsa are provided. Wagyu barbacoa tamale tatemado ($17) - Stewed and shredded beef was served in a masa shell with a cilantro arugula slaw, crema, and contija. House beans accompanied this delicious dish. Seabass fish taco ($6) - The tacos here are street size but are packed. This fish taco was fried and served with onions, cilantro, cabbage, pico de gallo, queso fresco and crema. I really enjoyed this and it was packed with so much flavor. Prime tasajo taco ($8) - This consisted of tender and flavorful beef, served with greens. It was on the pricier side but still a great tasting taco. Wagyu chorizo taco ($6) - I enjoyed the spiciness of the ground chorizo in this taco and would probably opt for this along with the fish taco. A YELP check-in scored me some churros with ice cream. The churros were crispy and topped with a chocolate sauce as well as a caramel filling (carjeta) on the inside that really took these churros over the top. Overall I really enjoyed the food here and would definitely come back here, especially for their Taco Tuesday specials! Parking can be a bit of a challenge as there is only street parking, but one can find some metered parking or parking structures a few blocks away. There is a 3% surcharge for the usage of credit cards.

Visited on a Sunday afternoon for brunch. We sat outside on the patio as we had our dog with us. Long bench seating outside as well as high bench tops. There was also a TV outside that had the games on. Inside there was a mariachi and pretty ambiance. We all tried their coffees and the pistachio latte was nice and subtle. The mojitos were very refreshing. The chips and salsa are very addicting and fresh chips and super tasty salsa. Dishes we tried: Chilaquiles - got with green sauce. Very tasty 8/10 Chicken mole and waffles - if you like mole this was a good unique dish to try Chorizo and eggs - this was super flavorful and yummy as well overall was a nice experience to enjoy outdoor brunch - brunch options are not too many but enough. Parking is very difficult as this is next to packing house and its near impossible to find parking so be prepared for that!

The first time we went we had such an amazing experience but this second time it was just okay. It took 25-30 minutes for someone to take our drinks order/food. 15 mins to get even water after we got seated. The service was very slow, and it wasn't that busy maybe 4 tables occupied. We got our food really fast, even faster than the chips and salsa or even our drinks. It's a lovely place just the service was very slow. Everything we have tried is delicious. The place is cute/esthetic.
